Orthodox parental Saturdays, Radonitsa, and other special days of commemoration help you plan a cemetery visit in advance, tidy the burial site, lay flowers, and light memorial candles.
Below are the main memorial dates for 2026 and 2027 according to the calendar of the Russian Orthodox Church. The dates have been checked against the official Orthodox calendar.

Days of Remembrance in Estonia
In addition to Orthodox parental Saturdays, it is customary in Estonia to visit cemeteries and light candles on All Souls’ Day — Hingedepäev, 2 November — as well as during the Christmas season.
These traditions bring families together regardless of where they live. People tidy burial sites, decorate them with fir branches and flowers, place memorial lanterns, and remember loved ones who have passed away.
When to Book Burial Site Cleaning
To ensure that the burial site looks clean and well maintained by the memorial date, we recommend placing your order approximately 5–7 days in advance. Demand increases before Radonitsa, Trinity Saturday, and major holidays, so it is best to book the service even earlier.
In spring, we can:
- remove rubbish, old grass, and fallen branches;
- clean the monument after winter;
- remove deposits and dirt;
- tidy the flower bed;
- renew the sand or decorative gravel;
- plant seasonal flowers.
In autumn and winter, we can:
- remove leaves or snow;
- clean the monument and the surrounding area;
- decorate the burial site with fir branches;
- place flowers and long-burning memorial lanterns;
- light memorial candles.
