Sillamäe Cemetery map and grave search

Sillamäe Cemetery is located near the town of Sillamäe, beside the settlement of Sinimäe, in Narva-Jõesuu municipality, Ida-Viru County. Nearby are Vaivara New Cemetery and Sinimäe Cemetery.

Location and access roads

Use the name Sillamäe kalmistu when planning your route. It is listed separately from the neighbouring cemeteries on Kalmistud.ee.

Several roads lead to the cemetery and meet in the central part of the grounds. This allows you to approach from the side closest to your chosen plot and reduce the distance you need to walk. Before visiting, it is useful to check the grave’s location on the map.

Open grounds and thuja plantings

The cemetery has no dense woodland, so the grounds feel open and bright even in overcast weather. The planted thujas stand out among the headstones, adding greenery and giving the cemetery a well-tended appearance.

Paths run between the graves. During our visit, we found it easy to move around: graves can be reached without crossing neighbouring burial plots. This is useful both for ordinary visits and when bringing tools or flowers to tend a grave.

Buildings, water and waste disposal

There are no buildings or chapels within the cemetery grounds.

A water tank for watering plants and a waste container are available for visitors tending graves. The established paths make it easier to carry water and clean the plot.

How to find a grave at Sillamäe Cemetery

The cemetery is connected to the Haudi system. On the Sillamäe kalmistu page, you can search for burials by the deceased’s first name and surname. Before visiting, save the plot number and its location. If the search returns no results, try alternative spellings of the first name and surname, including versions using the Latin alphabet. Also check whether the family grave is in one of the neighbouring cemeteries.

Grave search and care

Angelio helps find family graves by checking register records and searching on site. Once the grave has been found, the client receives photographs.

You can also book one-off headstone cleaning or regular headstone care. When contacting us, provide the cemetery name, the deceased’s first name and surname, and, if available, the plot number or a link to the register entry.
